Finally.. iChill: the anti-energy drink!

It feels like i’ve been waiting all my life for this to arrive.

In a market dominated by energy drinks, iChill promises to deliver the exact opposite. And why not, it’s just melatonin, valerian root, and some other goodies in a convenient (and probably overpriced) package. I’m not sure if it’s come to Canada yet, but I’ll definitely be checking it out next week when I return to the hideousness that is Vegas.

ICHILL is a totally irresponsible, the company has relaxation confused with a coma. They are destroying the category and character of the Relaxation category. Their product has 5 mg of melatonin and it is packed in an energy shot bottle. Numerous people have unwittingly been knocked out cold.
    Try Tranquila, RelaxZen or MiniChill

Thanks for the comment, while i do agree that 5mg of melatonin is pretty excessive, it’s not like they’re hiding that fact. It really should be the responsibility of the person drinking to use their own judgement and determine whether they should use a particular product or not. Personally, I’ve tried taking 6mg metatonin capsules for sleep with little to no effect (i’ve tried different brands as well). I feel i should also point out that all three of the alternate products you recommended are also packages in an energy-shot style bottle, and Tranquila PM does have melatonin in it, but they don’t specify what quantity, which in my opinion is even more irresponsible.

Anyhow, I’m not trying to defend a particular product, especially not one that I have never personally used. I do appreciate your comments and recommendations. I posted this originally because I’ve dealt with periods of insomnia that were quite crippling, and sometimes you just need a good night’s sleep – hopefully these products can do just that without having to resort to prescription grade products.

lol! awesome. I love that I just learned about FOUR relaxation drinks from one post. Neel, Nancy, kudos.

Oh, and for relaxing drinks I personally prefer the oh-so-natural and rarely refined/altered…

    TEA. :)
